F.A.Q.

What kind of catering do you provide?

We cater to the unique tastes of all our clients. Weddings, baby showers, graduation parties, holiday gatherings, corporate events, galas and fundraising events are just a few examples of the events we have serviced. Events range in size from 20 people to 2000 people. Creative menus, fresh ingredients, and unique presentation give each client the ability to customize their event.

Can you help me with rental items like tables, chairs, service wares, and glasses?

We not only prepare the food but also organize tent and chair rentals, linens, china and glassware, bartenders, service staff, floral arrangements, ice carvings and any other detail you can imagine for your event. Our reputation, combined with our numerous industry contacts, are the right mix for any client interested in hosting a memorable event!

Can you provide the wines and other beverages?

Yes, Chef’s Choice Catering can provide all of your beverages. Our menu offers selections to include your basic non-alcoholic bar setups to a full, premium bar, complete with professional, courteous bartenders!

Is a contract required?

It is necessary to have our clients sign a contract with Chef’s Choice Catering. Details of our contracts vary depending on the size and type of event.

Do you require a guaranteed number of guests?

The final meal count is due no later than 3 business days prior to your event. After this time, no changes can be made to the final details or the menu. Large events starting at 100 guests, must give a final count 14 days prior to the event.

How do you calculate the price for my event?

The price for your event is based upon your meal selection and the number of guests. Events requiring service and rental items will be quoted on an individual basis.

Can you help me find a location for my event?

With over 19 years of experience in the Tri-State, Chef’s Choice Catering would be more than happy to assist clients with event space selection.

Chef's Choice Catering is a preferred caterer for many of the city's historic properties and venues. We also have exclusive catering contracts with many different hotels, conference and convention centers located around the Tri-State area.

What is your deposit and payment policy?

On events requiring deposits, a service contract will be prepared and a 20% deposit is due at that time. This deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. The final count is due 10 days prior to the event, otherwise the contract amount becomes the guaranteed meal count to determine your final bill. This represents the official number of meals you will be charged for. If your final count exceeds your guaranteed number, you will be charged a per person rate for the difference. The balance is due one week prior to your event payable by cash, check, money order, or credit card.

What is your refund or cancellation policy?

Chef's Choice Catering works with each and every customer in a professional manner. In the case of an emergency and your event needs to be canceled, we will sit down and discuss the options that are fair to our client and to us.

Is there someone I can talk to if I have questions, even after I've signed a contract?

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of our experienced Event Specialists. They are available during the entire planning process to help assist you with any questions or concerns regarding your event.
